Joseph Schmoe has been a Lakeview regular for almost 25 years now, starting on a Saturday morning league as a junior bowler. On Thursday, Joe put together 3 games of 279, making him the first bowler in CNY to accomplish that feat. Bowling on lanes 17-18, Joe had commented the lanes were a bit chilly and wet. Stating his first 3 strikes were purely lucky! He started out throwing his favorite ball, the Columbia Black Night, switching to a red Hammer in the 7th frame of the second game.
We congratulated Joe and had a few questions for him...
LBC: "Joe, did you have a special breakfast the morning before throwing your three 279 games?"
Joe: "Why, yes, I did. I had eggs and gritts at Reggie's. It was wonderful."
LBC: "Were you wearing your lucky thong underwear?"
Joe: "No, unfortunately, those were in the wash, I wasn't wearing any underwear at all that night!"
Well, there you have it. Classic bowling balls, eggs, gritts and no skivies are the keys to Joe's game. Congrats on your triplicate and an 837 series!
Joe will recieve a $500 check from Lakeview Bowling Center and a Silver Bowling Pin from USBC marking the accomplishment. Nice job, Joe!
